The First International Fair of the Automotive Components Producers of The South East Europe "Auto compo net 2010" was opened

In the period from May 19th to 21st 2010 in Kragujevac on 1.600 square meters of the "Sumadija sajam" exhibition hall, the First International South East Europe Automotive Suppliers Industry Trade Fair "SEE Auto Compo Net 2010" was held. The producers of automotive components from Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy and Serbia, the representatives of institutions, such as Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonian Chamber of Commerce, Pordenone Chamber of Commerce, Serbian Chamber of Commerce, SIEPA, GTZ, automotive clusters of Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia and Serbia, as well as the representatives of machine and equipment industry presented themselves.

The First International South East Europe Automotive Suppliers Industry Trade Fair was opened by Ivica Dacic, vice-president of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and on that occasion he pointed out that this Fair is obviously the evidence that decentralization is possible due to such a local business initiative obtained support of Serbia, the Balkans and European institutions.

The central Fair Event was "Meet the Buyer" where the potential suppliers of automotive equipment had the chance to meet directly the international companies and start negotiations about their potential cooperation. Among multinational automotive companies, Volkswagen, General Motors i PSA Peugeot Citroen Group took part in this event.

At the Fair the campaign of "European SME Week" was also presented with the aim to promote the entrepreneurship through organization of various manifestations.

On the second and third Fair day, beside B2B, many other manifestations were held:
• Round Table: "Achievement of the best practice in supporting of Automotive Industry from the Western Balkans"
• Presentation of Fiat Automobili Srbija
• Presentation of DEKRA Certification
• Presentation of “CISCO i-Exec Business Essentials”
• Workshop – "Significant of FDI in enhancement of SME development in the field of automotive industry at the Central Serbia" area
• Serbian Chamber of Commerce -“Improvement of the regional cooperation in automotive industry within the Region of the Western Balkans”
• Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Round Table: "Regional human resource development as challenge for social partners in the process of foreign direct investment inflow"

Fair SEE Auto Compo Net 2010 was organized by CCI Kragujevac – Western Balkans Automotive and Supplier Industry Excellence Centre and "Sumadija sajam" under the auspices of Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Serbia Investment and Export Promotion Agency– SIEPA, City of Kragujevac and SECEP Support to Enterprise Competitiveness and Export Promotion project.
